Weekend 84 is the solo project of music producer and sound engineer Marko Jakopanec — synthpop made in Maribor, Slovenia.
After two decades of mixing and mastering other people's records at Studio A800, Weekend 84 is where I write my own. The name says it all: drum machines, analog synths, big choruses — the sound of a weekend that never quite ended in 1984.
The debut single "Again", sung by Monika Mulec, arrived in March 2022, with Matic Mlakar on guitar and mastering by Ryan Morey. More music is on the way — follow on your platform of choice and it will find you.
